Just wanted to let people know that I set up an ArtStation account:
www.artstation.com/aerin-kayneI'm still staying here on DA too - still plan to submit art and do features - so there isn't going to be a change as far as that goes. More of just some info for anyone who already has an account there, or who was thinking of making an account there, or for artists who perhaps didn't know about the website yet and who might want to check it out. I have only uploaded some of my more recent work there (still debating whether I want my most recent dragon pic there, but I'm not really satisfied with the background so I'll probably keep it off and use it as motivation to start something new). Again, for anyone who doesn't have an ArtStation account and doesn't want one, anything I post there will also be posted here too, so it doesn't really matter.
ArtStation is far more intimidating to me than DA, but I think part of what I need is something that will motivate and inspire me to not only push my own limits, and get me somewhat out of my comfort zone, but something that will also push me to reconsider what's even possible (there is a lot of mind-blowing stuff there). Now, I want to take care not to give the wrong impression by saying that, as there's great art on DA too, it's just often buried. Even with the mature filter on, enough of the stuff on the new page of DA looks like it crawled right out of the Elsagate section of YouTube for it to be extremely demotivating. It's also gives a far from professional impression, and since going forward I'd ideally like some job that is art or design related, I want to have a portfolio online that doesn't potentially share screen time with too many risky clicks.
PS: There was another bear in my yard yesterday morning. I'll try to get a photo next time. From inside. '#'yardBear
